Drabble: Doctor Who

Title: Sunday Morning
Characters: Jack, Rose, Nine
Rating: G
Notes: Just a spur of the moment thing. Counts as a drabble if you'll forgive a little minor cheating with hyphenated words. :)

"I fancy some chips," said Rose thoughtfully.

Jack looked up from the scraps he'd been tinkering with.

"Oh, good call, Rose. That little place in Coatbridge, right?" He didn't hide his admiration as she stretched her limbs, and smirked as he caught the Doctor's eyes sliding stealthily away.

The Doctor contemplated his friends, lazy, morning-tousled, bright-eyed mischief makers. He wasn't fooled by their innocent smiles... Did they think he lived to cater to their whims? Had he devolved into a pathetic smitten lackey, devoted to their pleasure?

He felt the blossoming of his widest grin.

"Let's go!"

And they did.

LOL. There's nothing pathetic about making the people you love happy. Besides, it's not like he doesn't like chips himself.

(And the Doctor LOVES making other people better. Witness his chosen name. *g*)

Yup! He's happy when they're happy, when he's not stuck in his own head. And I don't think he minds the trip! But he knows they're doing it on purpose, to see how far they can get with him. *g*

Had he devolved into a pathetic smitten lackey, devoted to their pleasure?

Apparently the answer would be yes.

*g* He'll stand on his dignity... next time. He's sure of it. ;)
